Desert*Net Germany’s activities in 2007 are:

• Support of BMZ in their effort to develop within the IIWG of UNCCD a 10-year strategy plan for UNCCD.
• Finalizing of a Science Plan for Desert*Net "Research for Dryland Development"
• Continued support of and collaboration with European DesertNet.
  -> Side Event "Desertification: science, policy making and the chain of users. Is there a straightforward path from science to end-users? Where are the turning points and crossroads?"
• Joint Information Stand of European DesertNet and Desert*Net Germany at the 8th Conference of the Parties (COP8) of UNCCD, 3.-15. September 2007, Madrid, Spain.
